No one should be fearful or feel alone
during life’s final journey.

Instead, with compassionate assistance, the dying process can provide space for reflection, introspection, and processing challenging emotions.

End of life doula Wendy Rose sits bedside with a client.

Death is a natural part of life, but most people are unprepared when faced with the prospect of dying. Individuals and their loved ones are often ill-equipped to navigate the process in a meaningful way. In addition, our current medical model addresses disease, not the dying person, and often sees death as a failure. It doesn’t have to be this way.

I’m trained as an End-of-Life Doula - so think of me as a coach - guiding individuals and their families through the practical and emotional work of preparing for the end. I also offer direct support, strength and companionship during the dying process.

I refer to myself as an End-of-Life Advocate because I advocate for open, honest conversations about death at all stages of life, and I advocate for your wishes.

Whether you’re caring for sick elders, grappling with your own end-of-life-issues, or want to plan ahead before facing a life-limiting illness and its ramifications, my services can help you face this time on your terms.

End-of-life doulas are non-medical professionals who provide holistic, practical assistance to foster emotional wellbeing and create a peaceful environment for transitions. This care can enable the individual to live as fully as possible, even when death is imminent or the medical prognosis is terminal.

Doulas collaborate with healthcare providers, attorneys, and end-of-life care staff. By working as a team, we can provide comprehensive support, comfort, and guidance throughout the aging and end-of-life journey.

Have you thought about what you would want at the end-of-life? Or could you use help understanding and planning for the myriad of daily, often automated tasks, that will require you to tie up loose ends?

I can help guide these conversations.
